DATA ENGINEER - DATA OPERATIONS (F/M/X)

As a Data Engineer, you will be part of a team focused on developing advanced analytics solutions to support our various departments and business partners in leveraging analytics, machine learning and data science to gain insights for optimal decision making. You will have the opportunity to work with experienced colleagues in Analytics, Machine Learning, Data Science and Media Design to develop innovative data solutions and solve challenging problems using cutting-edge technologies in a modern data infrastructure.

These tasks await you:

• Designing, building, operationalizing, securing, and monitoring data pipelines and data stores
• Specifying, designing, and maintaining mechanisms for storing and accessing data
• Developing and implementing plans, policies, and practices that control, protect, and optimize the value of data assets
• Developing models and diagrams to represent and communicate data requirements and data assets
• Work closely with analysts, data scientists, and business process owners to translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Developing software components to deliver value to stakeholders
• Planning, implementing, and controlling activities to synthesize system components to create operational systems, products, or services
• Managing requirements through the entire delivery and operational life cycle based on adaptive (iterative/agile) approach

And this is your profile:

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
• 3+ years of software development experience in one or more languages ​​with demonstrated practice in software engineering (eg, Python, Java, Scala etc.)
• Experience designing, testing, optimizing, and troubleshooting data processing software and data processing algorithms
• Experience with Big Data in the cloud, including data analytics/warehousing, and database design/queries

• Very good German and English skills complete your profile

Additional qualifications:

• Master's degree or other advanced degree in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent hands-on experience
• Experience working with and/or on data warehouses, ETL/ELT, reporting/analytics tools and environments, and data structures
• Experience in Big Data, information retrieval, data mining or machine learning
• Experience architecting and developing software in virtualized environments such as Google Cloud Platform or other similar platforms
• Experience working in an agile team
