Full job description

Location: 51063 Cologne | Type of contract: full-time, unlimited | Job ID: 620302

What we plan to do together:

As the Analytics division of the REWE Group, we are part of the Customer, Analytics & Technology board department, with which we bring together all strategic, analytical and business-supporting functions within Retail Germany under one roof. The business area is undergoing an exciting transformation and is pursuing the goal of establishing advanced analytics and artificial intelligence as additional value drivers in all key business decisions. Agile working methods and competent and motivated teams offer the perfect working environment to advance the further development of the tracking infrastructure. Be there when digital analytics in German food retail is raised to a new level!

What you do with us:

Do you like working in direct contact with digital analysts, IT teams and tracking devs? Would you like to develop solutions for business issues by designing tracking implementations and accompanying them through to the finished report? Do you like using debugging tools at work, do you know what cookies are used for and how the data is processed in analytics systems? Then you are exactly right with us in the role of a business intelligence developer with a focus on tracking!

  • Implementing initiatives together: Close coordination and cooperation with digital analysts, IT and external implementation partners.

  • Assess requirements: Support in the requirements analysis and advice on suitable technical implementation measures.

  • Making interactions measurable: Development of concepts and tool configurations for tracking websites and apps.

  • Ensuring Quality: Definition of standards and validation of data quality.

  • Deliver value: create reports and dashboards to support business decisions.

  • Proactive organization: Takeover of project management tasks for cost estimates, cost allocation, ticket maintenance and organization of meetings.

  • Sharing knowledge: Self-empowerment of employees in the specialist departments through know-how transfer.

What convinces us:

  • First and foremost your personality: your very good analytical and conceptual thinking skills paired with organizational skills.

  • Your ability to develop simple & sustainable solutions for complex issues.

  • That you enjoy working in an agile and very dynamic environment and that you are always up to date on technologies and developments.

  • A completed degree, ideally in the fields of (business) computer science, information management, mathematics or a comparable field of study with several years of professional experience in the field of web and app analytics.

  • Practical experience in using Adobe Analytics or Google Analytics and in writing tracking concepts.

  • Sound knowledge of web technologies (HTML, JavaScript, cookies, debugging) and how tag management systems work, and ideally knowledge of SQL, Excel, Jira and Confluence.

What we offer:
The REWE Group, as one of the largest retail and tourism groups in Europe, offers unique conditions for everyone who wants to make a difference. Discover a true-to-life employer who trusts you, gives you creative freedom and promotes innovation and fresh ideas through flexible structures. Anyone who works for us and gets things moving can also expect a lot:

  • Attractive remuneration: With special benefits such as holiday and Christmas bonuses, capital-forming benefits, company pension schemes, subsidies for the canteen and job ticket as well as advantages when leasing a bicycle.

  • Employee discounts: At REWE, PENNY, toom Baumarkt and DER Touristik.

  • Work-life balance: With flexible working hours without core times, home office, time-off models, company kindergartens, modern parent-child offices, support in finding childcare and care.

  • Personal further education: With comprehensive seminars, subject-specific academies, tech talks, e-learning and participation in conferences and hackathons.

  • Health management: With check-ups, sports, health and cooking courses.

  • Creative freedom: Participation in the selection of algorithms, analysis techniques and technologies and independent work on exciting issues from a wide variety of company areas (supply chain, logistics, marketing, category management, sales).

  • Agile environment: Working with agile development teams in a big data context.
