Full job description

We've been around since 2006. We currently have a team of seven colleagues and want to grow this to ten to twelve people in the near future. We offer our SAP business intelligence solutions to industrial companies, banks, insurance companies and publishers, to name just a few. You can find us in Berlin by the Müggelsee (very close to the water, and yes, we often sit out on deckchairs by the lake on our lunch breaks).

We build management reporting systems to collect and evaluate data. The data concerns wind turbines, paper production, housing and much more. We delve deeply into these subject matters because we're not just developers – we're also consultants on anything to do with business processes. Some projects last just a few days, but they usually go on for years.

You manage projects alone or in a team, depending on the complexity of the project and your level of experience. First, you gather the client's requirements together with the relevant departments, then you advise and implement data analytics and science solutions. As an example, you might create data models or dashboards and user stories using SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) or Lumira.

Where possible, you are free to choose whether you primarily carry out development, take on project management or do an equal amount of both. Your work should be tailored to you.

It's good if you've studied (business) informatics or mathematics. Are you a lawyer who has worked in finance for a while? That's fine. business management? That also works. You either need business experience and we teach you the IT, or vice versa. Got both? Perfect. It also doesn't matter whether you're straight out of uni or whether you've been in the job a few years – you're very welcome here.

We would prefer it if

  • you had well-proven knowledge of SAP BW on/4 HANA or SAC;
  • you had experience in designing modern data warehouse solutions, for example data modelling, extraction or reporting; other
  • you were familiar with ABAP, AMDP and SQL.

Oh, and it would be great if you could speak some English - to be able to communicate with SAP support.

What you're made of

Strong communication skills are needed because a lot of information is well-hidden in clients' heads and needs teasing out. Sometimes they need to be won over first, sometimes they need to be looked after, sometimes things simply have to be pushed through. If you are both determined and diplomatic, you will find this easy to master.

What you have to look forward to

  • When and where you want to work is up to you. One of our colleagues recently spent some time working from the Azores. Long-term, it would still be nice if you could come into the office once a month, but you are also welcome to come in every day.
  • It's a great atmosphere (we think so, anyway) - lots of employees are also friends.
  • 15 working days a year for further education or training. You decide what you need for self-improvement.
  • If you've got your heart set on a company car or a bike, it's yours. Private use? But of course. We find sensitive solutions for everything.
