Job Description

At JetBrains, we help people enjoy their work and be more productive by providing them with intelligent software solutions that take care of routine tasks, allowing them to focus on the creative part of their work.

The Data Analytics team helps other JetBrains teams get insights into our products, users' habits, and problems. We help answer questions about how a product and its features are used and how that affects customer loyalty.

We also come up with new tools to help our colleagues generate hypotheses, get answers about products and users on their own, and get up-to-the-minute information about specific metrics they’re interested in tracking.

We are looking for an experienced frontend engineer who is passionate about complex (and not-so-complex) web applications. In this role, you will develop data visualizations in the data analysis domain. You will also become part of a team that helps our colleagues make data-driven decisions, and your work will have a tangible impact on JetBrains products and their users.

We have a lot of ideas, and even more data to be visualized, which can serve as inspiration for cool new tools. If you love to build data tools and code frontend, don't hesitate to apply. Chances are that you are exactly the teammate we're looking for!

As part of our team, you will:

  • Develop complex React applications.

Requirements:

  • Experience working for IT companies as a frontend engineer.
  • Experience with React, Angular, or Vue.
  • Solid understanding of programming design patterns.
  • Experience with data visualization (D3, WebGL, Three.js, VISX, and others).
  • Ability to work both in a team and independently.
  • Planning and time-management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Good command of written technical English.

Preferable:

  • Experience with data analytics products and big data.
  • Knowledge of SQL.
  • Basic knowledge of Python.
  • Experience with the backend stack (Spring Boot, Hibernate, AWS).

Our tech stack:

  • Frontend: React, Redux, redux-thunk, redux-toolkit, redux-observable, Jest.
  • Data visualization: VISX, Recharts.
  • Fascinating work in a dynamic, friendly team.
  • Competitive salary.
  • Flexible working schedule.
  • Six weeks of paid vacation (local regulations can be applied).
  • An office library with specialized work-related books and magazines.
  • Comfortable working environment, with ergonomic workplaces, fitness and leisure zones and a company-paid car park.
  • Excellent opportunity for professional and personal development, opportunity to travel to professional conferences worldwide.
  • Additional benefits including lunch, free refreshments and snacks in the office, and more.
