The Hasso Plattner Institute (HPI) is Germany's university center of excellence for digital engineering (www.hpi.de). Together with international partners, the HPI establishes applications in Digital Health as its contribution to the digital transformation in health care and society with global reach. The HPI conducts research and teaching for Digital Health at two locations: for Germany and Europe with the HPI Digital Health Center in Potsdam and for North America with the newly established Hasso Plattner Institute for Digital Health at Mount Sinai in New York City.

Software Engineer (m/f/d)
Personalized Health Services
Full-time and limited to 6 month.
Your future tasks

• Design, develop and prepare operations of personalized health services, ie mobile applications that process health data from electronic health records, laboratories, genomic sequencing, and sensors to provide users with personalized insights and added value
• Multifaceted collaboration in research and development

The position is supported by the Smart4Health project (www.smart4health.eu), funded by the European Union Horizon 2020 Program. The objective is to develop a prototype user-centric platform for health data management/exchange and PHS on mobile devices.
What to bring with you

• University degree, preferably in the field of informatics, computer science, data science, natural science or engineering
• Experience in mobile app development
• Experience deploying and managing applications, including CI/CD pipelines
• Fluent in spoken and written English
• Open-minded towards new technical challenges
• Strong organizational skills
• High interest in conceptual work, result-oriented, proactive, high social skills, cooperative and team-minded
• Openness, curiosity and creativity
