Job Description

Working in Proprietary Trading in Trading & Origination:

Within Statkraft’s proprietary trading department, the quantitative trading mandate covers position taking across different markets, ranging from European energy to global commodities. Your internship will be in the centre of these front-office activities and you will be given responsibility from day one. Since your work is at the heart of our business and therefore commercially significant you will always have expert support but we also expect you to work independently. Our interns are highly valuable members of our teams and you will actively contribute to the future development and growth of Statkraft

Your tasks will include but are not limited to the following:

  • Connect, operationalise and pre-process new data sources
  • Extend and continue to build out our team’s dashboard analytics
  • Signal analysis and research for new trading strategies
Qualifications
  • Student of Computer/Data Science, Quantitative Finance, Engineering or similar technical field of study with strong analytical and numerical skills
  • Modelling and programming experience in Python is mandatory
  • Team player with good communication skills
  • Fluent in English
