In order to be able to understand and optimize complex production processes, data-based analysis methods are often used. The manual effort involved in modeling can be greatly reduced by using self-supervised and unsupervised machine learning and deep learning solutions. An automated assignment of the data to the underlying processes based on software solutions offers great potential for autonomous production optimization.

What you do with us

The aim of this work is to develop a (deep) machine learning model to enable process understanding based on sensor time series data. For this purpose, the focus is on unsupervised clustering methods. Different machine learning approaches or solutions based on an algorithm are nevertheless within the research spectrum.

what you bring

  • Completed bachelor's degree in a MINT subject
  • Knowledge of software development, preferably in Python
  • Experience with methods of artificial intelligence
  • Preferably experience with relevant frameworks (PyTorch, scikit-learn, etc.)
  • Basic skills in the field of production
  • Independent and systematic way of working
