Your job:

Responsibility for the entire product lifecycle and improvement of our recommendation engine

  • You take part in exciting projects aimed at developing and improving our company's recommendation engine, you support other departments by generating actionable business insights.
  • You will be responsible for the entire product life cycle. Thereby you are in charge of the end-to-end development and productization of complex models and machine learning pipelines for use cases in the areas of recommendation, classification and scoring, and for their continuous quality control.
  • You design, implement and analyze A/B tests as well as present the insights with your recommendations for action to the relevant stakeholders.
  • You work in agile and interdisciplinary teams and promote proactive collaboration with departments and internal stakeholders.
  • You support the development of standards and ensure that best practices are applied in methodology and code.

Your profile:

Data Scientist (m/f/d) with solid experience in Python and SQL

  • You have a successfully completed degree in data science/analytics (eg business informatics, statistics, econometrics, computer science, mathematics, physics or comparable).
  • You have very good programming skills with at least two years of practical experience in Python and SQL. Ideally, you also have experience with Big Data frameworks such as Apache Spark.
  • You are proficient in software development, integration, deployment and performance monitoring.
  • Knowledge of professional software development methodologies including version control (Git), CI/CD and containerization (Kubernetes) is an advantage.
  • You have very good English skills, both spoken and written. German is an advantage.
  • Experience in using relevant big data visualization tools like Qlik, Tableau, Power BI is a plus.
  • You have a high service and team orientation, enjoy working in an agile and dynamic environment and are always up to date on technologies and developments.
