Job Description

Within the B.Braun AI Hub we are looking for a Senior Dara Scientist (f/m/d) at the Melsungen location as soon as possible.
The Senior Data Scientist is an expert in extracting knowledge from data using scientific methods, algorithms and systems to extract insights, patterns and conclusions from both structured and unstructured data. Working closely with AI consultants, data engineers, technology and domain experts, data scientist B. Braun enables valuable data-driven products, services and insights for both customers and B. Braun internal use cases.

tasks and responsibilities

  • In your role as a senior data scientist, you will be part of interdisciplinary teams to develop data-driven solutions for healthcare and develop innovative products and services in collaboration with domain experts.
  • You support the business in the development of data analysis and AI applications
  • You will work on the development of group-wide best practices, building blocks and standards in the area of ​​AI.
  • As one of the central contacts for AI in the company, you will proactively manage collaboration with different departments within the company to generate added value from data.
  • Together with the AI ​​Hub team, they are responsible for enabling colleagues and developing standards and ensuring that best practices are established and applied within the company.

Professional skills

  • You have a completed degree (or a comparable qualification) in computer science, software engineering or a related subject.
  • Several years of professional experience in the field of data science, ideally in a regulatory environment such as medical technology.
  • Expertise in a relevant area such as natural language processing or computer vision and interest in the latest architectures and models.
  • Practical experience in the development and use of machine learning solutions (preferably in healthcare).
  • Knowledge of Python, including common data science libraries, e.g. E.g. scikit-learn, Pandas, Numpy, Pytorch, OpenCV.
  • In-depth knowledge of the fundamentals of machine learning.
  • Experience working in cloud computing environments, particularly Microsoft Azure.
  • Knowledge of agile project methods (e.g. Scrum) would be desirable
  • Strong communication skills and enjoyment of presenting results to stakeholders and colleagues.
