Job Description

Do you love working together in a team, sharing successes and growing together? Are you convinced that a productive working environment is based on respect for differences and appreciation of diversity? Then we should get to know each other!
To strengthen our teams in Karlsruhe, Cologne and Hamburg, we are looking for

People with enthusiasm for Azure Data Engineering (m/f/d)

About Us

As a team, we rely on a data-driven approach to solving our challenges. Data helps us to understand problems and develop fact-based solutions - for the measurable benefit of our customers, for the digitalization of society and for fair treatment of one another. Our project portfolio ranges from data warehouses and BI systems, to scalable data platforms and data science applications, to complete data products and artificial intelligence.

What you will do

  • You use Azure Data Services for data integration such as Synapse Analytics, Databricks or Logic Apps.
  • You select the appropriate Azure service for data storage for each use case (e.g. Data Lake, Synapse Analytics DB or Cosmos DB).
  • You weigh up the advantages and disadvantages of different concepts such as Data Lake or DWH and the strengths and weaknesses of modeling approaches such as Star Schema or Data Vault when designing data-driven solutions.
  • For implementation, you use 4th generation languages, e.g. SQL, and tool-specific languages such as DAX and M.
  • You support the team with machine learning in production through feature engineering and model deployment.
  • You ideally use Azure DevOps for application lifecycle management and visualize data in Power BI
  • You communicate in German, both in terms of technical knowledge and content, as well as in your daily dealings with customers and colleagues, and ideally switch to English when necessary.
  • If you want, you can get involved in other topics that interest or concern you beyond the project work. You share your knowledge with your colleagues in a variety of formats, including across projects, and learn equally from their experiences.
  • You will develop both professionally and methodically, for example with conferences, training courses or appropriate certifications, such as the Microsoft Azure Data Engineer. If you are interested, you can also expand your knowledge in the direction of data science and artificial intelligence methods.

Are you enthusiastic about the activities mentioned and do you have experience in many areas? Then let's find out together whether we are a good fit!

What's waiting for you

  • Varied projects on the Azure Data Platform (see also here)
  • A collaborative working environment based on trust, freedom and reliability
  • Comprehensive support from colleagues – just a room, Slack channel or phone call away
  • The dynamics and short paths of a start-up
  • The professionalism of an experienced management team
  • Excellent work equipment of your choice (notebook, smartphone)
  • The opportunity to arrange your working hours and place of work flexibly in consultation with the customers and the project team
  • A fair salary, the opportunity to work part-time and various social benefits such as a company bike, kindergarten allowance and company pension scheme
Diversity is an important value for us because we know that we can only achieve exceptional results through different backgrounds, skills and approaches. We would therefore be particularly pleased to receive your application if you feel you belong to one or more groups that are underrepresented in the tech sector. We are certainly not perfect and are therefore working on improving here too.
Interested? Then send us your CV – without a photo if you like – and a few lines about your motivation. We will get in touch with you within a few days and clarify everything else in a personal conversation.
