Tasks
- Data pipeline development: Assist in the design, development and maintenance of robust data pipelines for collecting, processing and storing data from various sources across the entire production line
- Data integration: Integrating different data sources to ensure seamless data flow and consistency between systems
- Data catalog management: Support in creating and maintaining a comprehensive data catalog
- Ensuring data quality: Implement and monitor data quality checks to ensure the accuracy, completeness and reliability of data throughout the pipeline
- Automation: Develop and operate ETL pipelines based on IoT and cloud technologies such as AWS IoT Core Greengrass, AWS Glue, Amazon S3, Redshift and Amazon Lambda
- Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, data scientists, analysts, and IT professionals, to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that meet the requirements
- Documentation: Documentation of data pipeline architecture, processes and best practices
Requirements
- Ongoing master's degree in computer science or comparable field of study
- Good programming skills in Python
- Experience with data processing frameworks and tools (e.g. Apache Spark, Hadoop, SQL)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Familiarity with AWS and SAP cloud platforms as well as knowledge of data modeling, ETL processes and data governance best practices is an advantage
- Understanding of data warehousing concepts and experience with databases (e.g. SQL, NoSQL) is desirable
- Proficient in German and English
