Job Description

 

Tasks

  • Data pipeline development: Assist in the design, development and maintenance of robust data pipelines for collecting, processing and storing data from various sources across the entire production line
  • Data integration: Integrating different data sources to ensure seamless data flow and consistency between systems
  • Data catalog management: Support in creating and maintaining a comprehensive data catalog
  • Ensuring data quality: Implement and monitor data quality checks to ensure the accuracy, completeness and reliability of data throughout the pipeline
  • Automation: Develop and operate ETL pipelines based on IoT and cloud technologies such as AWS IoT Core Greengrass, AWS Glue, Amazon S3, Redshift and Amazon Lambda
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, data scientists, analysts, and IT professionals, to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that meet the requirements
  • Documentation: Documentation of data pipeline architecture, processes and best practices

 

Requirements

  • Ongoing master's degree in computer science or comparable field of study
  • Good programming skills in Python
  • Experience with data processing frameworks and tools (e.g. Apache Spark, Hadoop, SQL)
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Familiarity with AWS and SAP cloud platforms as well as knowledge of data modeling, ETL processes and data governance best practices is an advantage
  • Understanding of data warehousing concepts and experience with databases (e.g. SQL, NoSQL) is desirable
  • Proficient in German and English
