The Role

For our IT Operations team in Hamburg, we are looking for an IT Application Manager (BI & Datawarehouse) (m/f/d)!

What are your major duties?

  • Manage, develop and optimize the reporting capabilities in the Sales & Marketing function in the DACH cluster in collaboration with the Global IT teams
  • Optimize and ensure the functionality of the BI systems, including the interface management and the standard reporting, further maintain Data Governance and procedures and standards relevant to the data platforms for the markets and design/develop interactive and user-friendly BI reports and dashboards using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of reporting requirements to support business decision-making processes and identify key metrics and KPIs and create reports that track and measure these indicators
  • Collaborate on the development of the global data platforms & reporting capabilities for the DACH cluster, as well as support the Integrations team with the relevant data platform integrations for the markets and work closely with data managers and I&I teams to ensure data quality and integrity of the reporting systems is maintained
  • Collaborate on the development of the global data platforms for the markets, support the requirements for the development of reporting and visualization outputs form the data platforms, as well as advise cluster departments on reporting optimization, considering the IT requirements for all systems (excluding ERP)
  • Demand Management for BI reporting of DACH clusters in close collaboration with the business and the Global IT teams, further manage the CRM data in coordination with the relevant Global IT teams
  • Identify, adopt, and realize value in global and local projects, continuously seek opportunities to improve reporting processes and methodologies, as well as share best practices to improve processes and knowledge

Who are you?

  • Bachelor's degree in IT and/or Business Management preferred and 3-5 years of FMCG industry experience in sales & marketing, with a strong understanding of Sales & Marketing business processes
  • Proficiency in Sales & Marketing systems, especially BI and CRM, experience in IT demand management and Big Data projects and expertise in MS SQL Server BI stack, especially SSIS and SSAS and familiarity with data lake solutions, ideally Data Bricks, as well as proficiency in CRM systems, ideally Salesforce, and Microsoft PowerBI, SQL, and Python
  • Familiarity with project management systems like Jira, experience managing external service providers and knowledge of generative AI
  • Independent and solution-oriented with quick comprehension, excellent communication, cooperation, and conflict resolution skills and service-oriented with strong interpersonal relationships
  • Commercial mindset with business acumen and literacy and excellent English and German (desired) language skills and experience in a global environment
