You will support HERMA in setting up a data platform to lay the foundation for BI, data analytics and machine learning. You will be responsible for the technical operation of this platform.
For our central IT department at the Filderstadt location we are looking for a
Data Engineer (m/w/d)
Tasks :
- Developing and maintaining scalable data pipelines and architectures to efficiently process large amounts of data
- Implementation and optimization of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes for the integration and transformation of data from different sources
- Close exchange with data analysts, data scientists and other stakeholders
- Monitoring and improving data quality and consistency
- Ensuring seamless integration of data from different internal and external sources.
- Create and manage data models to support analytics and reporting capabilities
- Monitoring system performance and implementing tuning measures to optimize data processing
Requirements profile :
- Completed studies in computer science, business informatics or a comparable qualification
- Knowledge of Big Data architectures and technologies (such as Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, SAP Datasphere, SQL databases, Spark, etc.) as well as programming skills in Python, Scala or Java.
- Knowledge of business intelligence (Power BI, SAC or others).
- Development of pipelines and data integration routes (ELT/ETL, Azure Data Factory, DBT, stored procedures or similar tools).
- Good written and spoken German and English skills
- Flexibility and willingness to learn new technologies Ability to work effectively in interdisciplinary teams and develop collaborative solutions
