Your transformation challenge...
  • Lead and manage a team of data and cloud engineers, which is designing and implementing robust, scalable, and secure cloud-based data pipelines and architectures.
  • Optimize cloud storage and data retrieval strategies to maximize efficiency and minimize costs. Manage relationships with cloud service providers and third-party vendors.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and deployment processes using Infrastructure as Code (IaC). Oversee cloud infrastructure management, including monitoring, maintenance, and scaling of cloud resources.
  • Implement data governance policies and practices and ensure high data quality, integrity, and security across all cloud platforms. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, quality, and scalability of data engineering and cloud operations.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members. Set clear performance expectations, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance reviews aligned with OKRs.
  • Collaborate with leadership to define clear, measurable, and achievable objectives for the data engineering and cloud infrastructure team and establish key results that align with the broader organizational goals.
  • Ensure optimal allocation of resources (time, budget, personnel) to meet OKR targets efficiently.
  • Contribute to the long-term strategic planning of the organization by identifying future opportunities and challenges related to data engineering and cloud infrastructure.

  • Language: Bash, Python (PySpark, Pydantic, PyArrow), SQL
You are ready if you have...
  • Ideally proven experience as a data and cloud engineering manager or similar role.
  • Extensive experience with AWS (and Azure) cloud platforms and their data services. Understanding of cloud cost management and optimization strategies.
  • Strong understanding of ETL processes, data warehousing, and big data technologies. Proficiency in SQL, Python, and other relevant programming languages.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates. Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (eg, Docker, Kubernetes). Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (eg, Power BI, QuickSight) is a plus.
  • Excellent leadership skills, able to interconnect distributed teams, create a good atmosphere, offer mentorship as well as clear goals setting and communication.
  • Ability to represent your team within the organization and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
