- You develop data processing algorithms in the field of optical spectroscopy in the laboratory analytical environment
- The algorithms you develop are used in measuring instruments with the highest demands on accuracy, precision and robustness
- You are self-motivated to find innovative calculation and modeling approaches and thus significantly increase the performance of our measuring instruments
- They generate new ideas to derive valuable information from the wealth of measurement data that creates customer benefits
- You will explore modern development methods such as machine learning or other cutting-edge technologies and apply them successfully
You work proactively on research projects with
your profile
- Completed scientific studies (ideally with a doctorate), e.g. as a physicist, physics engineer (software engineers with a physics background are also welcome)
- a good basic understanding of optical systems, ideally in optical spectroscopy
- At least 2 years of experience in the field of data processing of physical measurement data and a solid basic understanding of statistics
- Very good prior knowledge of programming in scripting languages with tools such as MATLAB, Octave or Python
- Ideally, but not necessarily, previous experience in programming with C# and/or reference to hardware acceleration
- Enjoy working in a highly interdisciplinary development environment with firmware specialists, software engineers and application specialists
- independent working style and a high degree of creativity in finding solutions coupled with the ability to work effectively in a team of specialists
- good knowledge of English and fluent German
