For our Information Technology & Organisation department , in the Data Governance Office team , we are looking for a

(Expert) Data Governance Manager (m/f/d)

permanent / full-time

Your tasks

  • Support in setting up the new data management team
  • Participation in the development and implementation of a holistic data strategy in the BCBS239 project
  • Tracking regulatory developments and market standards regarding BCBS 239 and assessing these with regard to their impact on LBS Süd
  • Responsibility for data quality, security and integrity within the company
  • Cross-departmental coordination of data management activities including data governance, metadata management and data quality management
  • Conception and implementation of data projects in cooperation with various specialist departments
  • Optimization and further development of existing data architectures and processes
  • Conducting data analysis and preparing reports to support corporate strategy
  • Promoting a data-driven corporate culture Training and support of employees in handling data

your profile

  • Completed studies in computer science, business informatics, data science or a comparable course of study (economics) with experience in the banking environment
  • Several years of professional experience in data management, ideally in a bank, consulting or auditing firm
  • Solid knowledge of data analysis, data modeling and database management
  • Solid knowledge of data governance, data quality management and metadata management
  • Experience in managing and implementing data projects
  • Very good knowledge of common database technologies (e.g. SQL) and analysis tools (e.g. Python, Tableau, Power BI)
  • Strong analytical skills and a high degree of problem-solving competence
  • Experience in dealing with data protection and data security requirements
  • High motivation and initiative, combined with the ability to find your way in a dynamic environment Strong communication and teamwork skills
