Senior Data Engineer / Developer (m/f/d) (Focus AWS)

Our "Data/BI" team designs, implements and operates the data infrastructure of editorial, documentation and other publishing areas by providing data-driven products as well as technical analyses and reports. With our data platform, we guarantee reliable and protected data as a "single point of truth".

Your tasks

  • You will help shape our modern multi-cloud data infrastructure
  • You will be responsible for the independent development and operation of complex data integration and machine learning processes based on current data technologies
  • As a member of the data team, you are responsible for the development of data-driven software components of sales-relevant core processes such as customer data platform and marketing automation
  • You set the tone for the design of our data architecture and work on the continuous development of key components
  • You ensure quality-assured and deliverable (sprint) results
  • You will actively support the entire development process - from analysis and technical conception to design and solution selection, implementation and testing - with
  • You will be responsible for collaborating with and managing external service providers and will be a valued contact person for the specialist departments

Your profile

  • A technical university or university of applied sciences degree or comparable training, or adequate professional experience will make it easier for you to get started
  • You are a professional in the Amazon AWS stack environment
  • You have already gained experience with modern architectural paradigms for real-time and ML applications as well as DWH
  • You have mastered development with the Python programming language at a senior level
  • You are confident, you are a team player and you win over your counterparts with your strong communication skills
  • You are characterized by a high analytical quality standard combined with a pragmatic, solution-oriented approach
  • You have very good written and spoken German skills and good English skills
