(Senior) Data Engineer (m/f/d)

As part of our cloud tech team, you will be responsible for:

• Designing data pipelines to make large amounts of data usable in real time

• Implementation using Google Cloud (such as Pubsub, Dataflow, BigQuery) and open source products

• aggregation and analysis of large amounts of data

• Evaluation of new technologies and development of PoCs

• Migrating data to the Google Cloud Platform

• Monitoring, alerting and improvement of running systems

• Collaboration with other developers, customer engineers and data analysts

• Exchange with our customers' technical contacts

• An appreciative working environment in which every opinion counts and is heard
• Always new and exciting topics and projects that we are allowed to communicate
• Exchange with all departments, external agencies and partners (e.g. Google)
• Independent design of tasks with the backing of the management
• Direct exchange with management and thus short decision-making processes
• In-house designer & coach for smooth exchange and work organization
• Small teams with intensive exchange through various formats: Munich Week, Ubiweek in Hamburg, offsites, regular meetings, etc.

• You have successfully completed a degree in computer science or a comparable qualification

• You have already gained experience in projects with a large amount of data

• You have good Python knowledge

• You have knowledge of databases, data warehouses and are confident in using SQL

• You have already gained experience with cloud technologies

• You have very good analytical skills and a very good technical understanding

• Your work is characterized by a sense of responsibility and quality as well as solution orientation

• You already have experience with dbt (batch) and Spark (stream)

• You have collected certificates in the Google Cloud world

• You have implemented use cases with geodata

• You are familiar with Docker containers

• You know the basics of machine learning

• You have experience with BI tools (e.g. Looker, Tableau or Power BI)

• You have some experience with JavaScript

Place of work: Hamburg / Hybrid
