From specification to tendering, awarding, quality assurance and order management through to logistics and processing, Bw Bekleidungsmanagement GmbH (BwBM) is responsible for the entire value chain of Bundeswehr clothing – from shoes to helmets.
We use this to dress around 250,000 active soldiers, reservists and civilian employees of the Bundeswehr.

For our data and master data management team at the headquarters in Cologne, we are looking for you as
Data Governance / Data Analytics Specialist (f/m/d)
In this newly created position, you will play a central role in the development and implementation of concepts for data governance and data master data management.
Your tasks
- Supporting team management in the development and implementation of data governance frameworks, strategies and guidelines using cutting edge technology
- Ensuring data quality and integrity through implementation, monitoring and continuous improvement of data management processes
- Development and maintenance of data lineage for seamless tracking of data origin and usage
- Inventory of data and data sources as well as creation and maintenance of a comprehensive data and metadata catalogue
- Design and management of data roles within the data governance framework
- Close collaboration with the specialist departments to identify and solve data problems and to optimize data-based processes
- Development and implementation of training courses and workshops to promote a data-driven corporate culture
- Creation of reports and analyses to monitor compliance with data governance guidelines and ensure data quality using modern data analytics tools (“cutting edge technology”)
your profile
- Completed studies in computer science, business informatics or a comparable course of study
- Several years of professional experience in the field of data governance, data management or data analysis
- In-depth knowledge of the application and implementation of data management tools and technologies
- Experience in developing and maintaining data lineage as well as creating and managing data catalogs
- Excellent analytical skills and concentrated problem-solving skills
- Confident communication skills and strong team player qualities, combined with a confident demeanor in interdisciplinary teams
- Very good German and English, spoken and written
