Tasks and responsibilities
- Technological, architectural and planning management of the further development of our data platform
- Building and managing a team of data engineers and data analysts
- Design, development and operation of modern data warehousing, big data and analytics platform based on Azure Services
- Ensuring responsible and sustainable data management at Rentschler Biopharma and its subsidiaries
- Responsibility for the development and optimization of data models, storage systems and ETL pipelines to provide data from various information systems for reports, evaluations and forecasts for the specialist departments
- Definition and implementation of data governance architectures and standards
- evaluation, recommendation and implementation of new data technologies
- Leading and coordinating interdisciplinary teams for the successful implementation of digitalization projects in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
- Ensuring comprehensive documentation of data systems, processes and workflows
- Alignment and further development of the architecture and roadmap based on the requirements of the departments and the IT strategy
This is important to us
- University degree in computer science, data analysis or a comparable field
- Several years of experience in the technical and architectural management of data projects
- Advanced programming skills in SQL, Python or PowerShell
- In-depth experience in data analysis, data modeling and visualization
- Extensive experience in managing and architecting data services in a BI and Big Data environment, preferably with Microsoft SQL, Azure, Hadoop and Spark
- Experience in agile software development and the operation of ETL routes
- Creativity and flexibility in the implementation of complex digitization projects
- Excellent organizational and project management skills
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Very good knowledge of German and English
- Good knowledge of the Microsoft M365 Suite
