Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Cyber ​​Security Engineer to join our client's Security Management Team in Cologne. This is a 6-month contract position with the possibility of extensions. As a member of the team, you will play a crucial role in defining company-wide information security strategies, standards, and policies. Reporting to the Group Head of Security, you will be responsible for strategic security engineering functions and ensuring compliance with security requirements.

Key responsibilities:

  • Maintain and support security measures for business systems
  • Provide technical security support for projects and other business requests.
  • Enhance threat intelligence, security logging, monitoring, and alerting through automation in security platforms
  • Improve threat hunting, incident analysis, and response capabilities
  • Review and enhance network security, including network segmentation, certificate management, and DNS security
  • Review and enhance Microsoft 365 E5 investments and Microsoft Azure security

Skills and experience:

  • Demonstrable experience as a hands-on Security Engineer/Security Consultant/InfoSec Consultant in large global enterprises
  • Strong knowledge of Information Security and Information Technology
  • Relevant security/InfoSec certifications (CIGE, CIST, CIAM, CIMP, CAMS, CAP, CISSP, etc.) preferred
  • Microsoft Certifications focused on security (eg, Microsoft Certified: Security Operations Analyst Associate/Identity and Access Administrator Associate)
  • Technical knowledge in Unix, AIX, Linux, Windows, Oracle, F5, WAF Cisco, Palo Alto, Azure, AWS, Google
  • Experience with SIEM maintenance, security event investigation, and analysis
  • Familiarity with security compliance tools such as Defender, Nessus, ELK, Burp Suite, Imperva, Zscaler, or others
  • Experience supporting Identity and Access Management suites, including API security, RBAC, ABAC
  • Knowledge of network security using Cisco, Palo Alto, F5 technologies, and Microsoft Advanced security features
  • Ideally, experience with Azure Cloud and DevOps
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with management, key stakeholders, 3rd parties, and suppliers
