What you are responsible for with us
- Extension of the simulation model: Development of a machine learning component for existing MATLAB simulation models
- Use of deep learning models: Creation and optimization of recurrent deep learning architectures (LSTM, GRU) and evaluation of transformer architectures to improve simulation
- Data integration and model adaptation: Adaptation of the simulation to the behavior of real plants using the models you create
- Independent design of the research focus: Set individual priorities within the project
What sets you apart
- You are a Bachelor's or Master's student in an engineering or computer science-related course of study and are planning your thesis for 2025
- Basic knowledge of neural networks, ideally RNNs and transformer architectures
- Experience with Python and common libraries such as pandas, scikit-learn and PyTorch
- Knowledge of MATLAB-Simulink, automation and control engineering is an advantage, but not a requirement
- Independent and proactive way of working as well as enjoyment of analytical and creative solutions
