Your impact within our firm

As a Data Science Consultant, you will support challenging strategy projects in the public sector and identify opportunities for the use of advanced analytics / artificial intelligence for our clients in German ministries and authorities.
You will work with our clients to transform strategic objectives into practical concepts and measures for implementation. You will work with complex and diverse data sets to solve relevant social issues. You will have the opportunity to develop high-quality data science products and AI solutions for our clients. In collaboration with our designers and UX experts, you will design high-quality and user-friendly visualizations.
As part of a team, you design and implement innovative solutions in the areas of new services, task portfolios, organizational structure, governance, process management and human resources management with a focus on analytical topics. You design partially automated MLOps and DevOps processes and advise our clients on their implementation. You drive the strategic and technical development of AI applications in cooperation with subject matter experts. As a link between data scientists and subject matter experts, you record and translate technical requirements. You support our clients in building competencies in the areas of data science and AI.
Depending on your professional experience, you may be able to join the team at Senior Consultant or Consultant level.

Your qualifications and skills

  • A university degree in mathematics, natural sciences, statistics, data science, computer science or economics with a quantitative focus (Master's, Bachelor's, doctorate or comparable) completed with above-average success
  • 1+ years of professional experience in data science
  • Practical experience in applying advanced data science methods to large data sets
  • Interest in digital business models and trends in the public sector including the cultural change perspective
  • Knowledge of Python, R, SQL, Spark or Excel is required
  • Preferably previous knowledge in areas such as generative AI and cloud-based infrastructures such as AWS, Azure or Google Cloud (corresponding certifications are an advantage)
  • Target group-oriented communication skills, even in politically influenced environments
  • First insights into transformation projects in the public sector and knowledge of important initiatives at European, federal and state level
  • Excellent analytical and conceptual skills, coupled with entrepreneurial spirit, commitment and creativity
  • Very good ability to express yourself in German and English
