The process in focus

The focus of our work is the continuous improvement of Rheinland-Versicherungen's processes. We identify needs and design tailor-made processes based on them.

For us, the quality of a process is primarily defined by the added value for the specialist departments, the agents and the customers. Our goal is to design the processes of the future sustainably and to continuously improve them. The Processes department is therefore taking responsibility for the digital transformation of RheinLand.

service provider for specialist departments and sales

We act as consultants for the specialist departments, as the first point of contact for their needs, but also as an innovation driver and source of inspiration. We involve everyone involved in the design of the overall processes.

Implementation together with IT (software development process)

We actively shape the implementation of prioritized topics throughout the entire software development process, from the idea to successful implementation.

We work with IT in various roles, take responsibility for clarifying orders with the specialist departments and are particularly responsible for conception and testing.

methodology

We work in agile projects, process initiatives and interdisciplinary teams.

In addition, we further develop these methods in process and project management and establish them in the continuous improvement process.

For you: An exciting challenge

  • With your know-how and innovative solutions, you will shape the construction and further development of a modern data lakehouse based on Microsoft Fabric.
  • Your profile includes the conception, creation, maintenance and monitoring of ELT routes from different sources, especially Oracle databases.
  • You are responsible for data modeling and the creation of structured, high-performance data structures for analysis purposes.
  • You support our departments in creating reports using e.g. PowerBI.
  • You create scripts to automate recurring tasks
  • And last but not least: You will participate in projects and advise our specialist departments on the topics within your area of ​​responsibility.

  • You have professional experience as a data engineer, preferably with a focus on business intelligence and data integration
  • Ideally, you have successfully completed a degree in computer science/business informatics (Bachelor, Master, Diploma) or a comparable qualification (IT specialist or similar)
  • You have experience in setting up and operating data lakes or data warehouses, ideally with Microsoft Fabric
  • You have a solid understanding of data modeling and database design. Data governance is no foreign word to you.
  • You are experienced in using Spark and Python and in creating ETL or ELT pipelines.
  • You have a quick grasp, very good analytical skills and a good feel for large amounts of data and associated data flows.
  • You are used to structuring yourself and your work independently and always keep an overview, even in complex issues.
  • You have very good written and spoken German skills for successful communication within the team and with the specialist departments
