YOUR MISSION
As a Senior Machine Learning Engineer (m/f/d) you will develop intelligent models in our team, optimize algorithms and put AI-supported solutions into practice.
Your tasks in detail:
- Promoting the use of artificial intelligence in tax authorities at state and federal level
- Architecture, implementation and optimization of data storage systems, data pipelines and data preparation processes
- Operation, scaling and performance optimization of on-premise LLM infrastructures
- Development of automation solutions and work support with LLMs
- Training, fine-tuning and deployment of machine learning and AI models
THIS IS IMPORTANT TO US
- At least 5 years of experience in implementing data-driven projects with a focus on data engineering, machine learning and AI
- Professional and confident demeanor, especially in communication with customers and stakeholders
- In-depth knowledge of LLMs, including fine-tuning, inferencing, hosting and scaling (e.g. OpenAI API, Hugging Face, ...)
- Knowledge of modern data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes
- Very good knowledge of Python and the Python data science stack (pandas/polars, visualization libraries, ...), SQL and common ML frameworks (e.g. PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn)
- Experience with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience with AI deployment and operation (focus on LLMs), ideally with open source technologies
- Solid understanding of Linux servers, GPUs and their optimization for AI workloads
- Very good knowledge of German (C1 level) and English skills at conversational level
