Your task

For talented individuals with an entrepreneurial mindset and the courage to shape the future, the "Start up!" Trainee Program offers you a space for learning and development for 18 months. We offer you a broad range of insights into our organization, as well as the opportunity to step out of your comfort zone and explore new topics, helping you reach your full potential.

• Get started and manage your own career! You'll have five project assignments: the first within technology, cybersecurity, or private customers in Germany. After that, you can choose your subsequent projects individually – across the entire group .
• Get out of your comfort zone! After your first assignment, you decide which topics you want to delve deeper into. During the program, we want you to step out of your comfort zone and explore new areas within Deutsche Telekom. We will support you with a broad network.
• Expand your network and experience the trainee community! Fridays are reserved for "Magenta Friday." All trainees come together and work on strategic, innovative growth topics outside of their own project assignments. The trainees work in various teams, where they organize events, promote their personal development, or contribute to social initiatives.
• Go international! Leading digital telecommunications company without international experience? Never! One of your (3-month) assignments will be abroad. You decide which country and city.
• Understand our business! Seize the opportunity to learn about Deutsche Telekom's operational business. During our "Service Days," you can gain direct insights into how Deutsche Telekom works with customers. Choose your "Service Days," such as a day in customer service, a visit to a T-Shop, or a stop at one of our service centers. You'll gain direct insight into how we turn customers into fans every day.
• Choose your start date! You can begin the program every quarter. Simply discuss with your contact person which date works best for you.

Your profile

You have successfully completed a degree in economics, engineering, computer science, data science, IT/cyber security or a comparable course of study – all degree levels (Bachelor's, Master's, PhD) are welcome.

• Relevant experience: You have at least 6 months of relevant internships or work experience in the areas of data analysis, big data, data modeling, business intelligence or machine learning.
• Technical skills: Knowledge of Python, R, SQL, Power BI or other relevant tools is an advantage, as well as skills in statistical and/or ML modeling and interpretation of the models
• Analytical thinking: Ability to interpret complex data and use it strategically.
• Communication skills: You can prepare data in an understandable way and present results convincingly.
• Expertise: Ideally, you have knowledge in one of the following areas:
  • Network technologies, mobile communications, fiber optics, 5G, IT/Cyber ​​Security or
  • Customer behavior, digital services & B2C business models or
  • Strategy, HR concepts, or similar
• Intercultural competence: Our startup community thrives on its internationality. Therefore, you should have strong intercultural skills in your DNA. International experience—be it through studying abroad, work and travel, etc.—is a must.
• Commitment and entrepreneurial spirit: As a Start-up! Trainee, you are passionate about driving change! Experience in social engagement and/or entrepreneurial projects is therefore very welcome.
• Language skills: You are fluent in spoken and written English and German at C1 level.
