Job Description

Activities & Responsibilities

  • As an expert of the approved inspection body, you are responsible for testing systems in potentially explosive atmospheres (e.g. hydrogen electrolyzers) and the associated measuring and control technology.
  • Assessing the required scope of detailed tests and evaluating the results are also part of your tasks.
  • They also review the concepts of explosion protection documents and ensure that the normative and legally correct implementation in the documents is ensured.
  • You summarize your results in concise test reports.
  • For field work, we aim to be based close to home. Depending on personal interests, international projects may be possible.
  • Depending on your professional experience, you will continue your expert career as a (senior) expert (f/m/d) or be trained as an expert (f/m/d) through a structured mentoring program.

Experience & further qualifications

  • Completed engineering studies in electrical engineering, automation engineering or comparable
  • Basic knowledge of the Industrial Safety Ordinance (BetrSichV) as well as the standards of Functional Safety (DIN EN 61511) and Operational Technology (OT) (DIN EN 62443)
  • Ideally, first professional experience in the industrial sector
  • Basic programming knowledge of fail-safe controllers
  • Very good written and spoken German and good English language skills
  • Class B driving license

The Industrial Services & Cybersecurity division covers the fields of pressure equipment and plant engineering, elevators and conveyor technology, electrical and building technology, industrial inspection and materials testing, infrastructure and project management, energy and environment, as well as functional safety and cybersecurity.

Services include, for example, the testing of industrial plants, the support of industrial and infrastructure projects, the inspection of pressure vessels, temporary structures, conveyor technology and elevators, environmental and pollutant analysis, and cybersecurity solutions for customers in various industries.

TÜV Rheinland is currently focusing on digitalization and networking in industry, as well as the further international expansion of services in the field of renewable energies.
