The Industrial Services & Cybersecurity division covers the fields of pressure equipment and plant engineering, elevators and conveyor technology, electrical and building technology, industrial inspection and materials testing, infrastructure and project management, energy and environment, as well as functional safety and cybersecurity.
Services include, for example, the testing of industrial plants, the support of industrial and infrastructure projects, the inspection of pressure vessels, temporary structures, conveyor technology and elevators, environmental and pollutant analysis, and cybersecurity solutions for customers in various industries.
TÜV Rheinland is currently focusing on digitalization and networking in industry, as well as the further international expansion of services in the field of renewable energies. This applies to the functional safety of industrial plants in times of rapidly increasing networking of components and machines – keyword "Operational Technology Security" – as well as to energy generation, use, and distribution, as well as infrastructure and grid expansion.
As an international services group, we strive to create a working environment in which all our employees feel safe and comfortable – an environment in which they are happy to give their best and are committed to doing their best. The key to this lies in open, respectful cooperation across all countries, cultures, and lifestyles. After all, we have around 20,000 employees at 500 locations around the globe providing more than 2,500 services. The results of their work can be seen everywhere: in tested elevators or rides, on certified toys or technical equipment, in our consulting sessions or training courses. No matter where – our international teams have been setting standards in safety, quality, and efficiency for many years.
Our specialists value this diverse portfolio, the exciting tasks, and the value of their work for people, the environment, and technology. We also value our specialists for their expertise and commitment, but also for their diverse personalities and backgrounds. Combined with the professionalism and sense of responsibility of each individual, we create a culture characterized by openness, growth, and collegiality. We want to further strengthen this culture and consistently promote respect in our interactions with one another. We don't just say it, we live it. We have committed ourselves to acting according to the principles of the UN Global Compact initiative, to fighting corruption, and to advocating for human rights, labor standards, and environmental protection in our daily work. We are active in numerous networks and projects that promote diversity and equality. We have also developed a wide range of programs designed to balance work and life, so that our employees can work healthy, motivated, and under optimal conditions.
