(Senior) Data Engineer (m/f/d)

Your mission

• Data Lake & Warehouse Management : You will develop processes and structures for our data warehouse and the lakehouse. You will ensure high data quality and fast, reliable data provision for our business stakeholders along the entire data value chain.
• Data Operations & Infrastructure : Working closely with the DevOps and Security teams, you will develop and implement the data infrastructure in a hybrid environment (on-premises and cloud). You will actively shape the data architecture and work on programmatically deploying the infrastructure.
• Reports & Analyses : You will support the creation of detailed reports and in-depth analyses that drive our data strategy. You will quickly identify bottlenecks and sources of error and independently implement requirements for a stable and secure data supply.
• Data quality & optimization : You actively contribute to improving data quality and flows, identify optimization potentials, and implement solutions for the continuous improvement of the data infrastructure.
• Data Availability & Standardization : You will implement data connections using scripts and platform methods and be part of the team that standardizes data provisioning within the organization to ensure consistent and reliable data availability. Of particular interest is the development of processes for the easy integration of diverse data sources and formats from our customers (e.g., using Python, Airflow, MS Fabric, etc.).

Your skillset

• Academic background : You have a completed degree in Computer Science, Informatics, Mathematics or a related field and successfully apply your sound theoretical knowledge in practice.
• Technical Expertise : You possess comprehensive knowledge of SQL, Python, statistics, and database design, and you are proficient in the entire data pipeline. You continuously develop efficient solutions to optimize our data processes.
• Entrepreneurial spirit : You act proactively in a dynamic environment and develop results-oriented solutions that promote both short- and long-term business goals.
• Communication skills : You present complex technical topics clearly and understandably in German and English and effectively communicate them to all relevant stakeholders.
• Practical mindset : You are characterized by a pragmatic, goal-oriented approach and implement projects efficiently, always with a focus on scalability and sustainability.
