Senior AI Developer (m/w/d)

YOUR TASKS

• You lead and are responsible for the integration of (generative) AI technologies into existing application software and develop innovative solutions with AI components together with the team.
• You plan, manage and implement demanding (generative) AI projects on the technical side, from conception to successful completion.
• You perform advanced analyses, preparations, and optimizations for complex data and AI use cases, and are committed to continuously improving data quality.
• You establish best practices for evaluating and optimizing software with AI components, especially with frameworks like LangChain, agent technologies, and APIs like OpenAI or Ollama.
• You develop architectural decisions for AI-powered, cloud-native software solutions and are a driving force for innovative approaches within the team.
• You are responsible for the integration and use of AI-compatible database systems (relational, vector, graph databases) in complex projects.
• You identify, evaluate, and drive the introduction of new technologies and methods in the field of (generative) AI, e.g., Model Context Protocol, agent technologies, modern AI integration frameworks.
• You will be responsible for the technical leadership and development of other developers, promote knowledge sharing, and support development and training within the project team.
• You are the contact person for our customers, represent technical results convincingly and in a collaborative manner, and moderate workshops and reviews.

YOUR PROFILE

• You have a completed degree (preferably Master's) with a focus on AI or IT and several years of relevant professional experience in AI software development as well as demonstrable project successes.
• You are an expert in Python and at least one other modern application programming language such as JavaScript (Node.js), TypeScript, Go or Java, and you bring extensive experience with Generative AI technologies (e.g. OpenAI, Ollama) and frameworks such as LangChain.
• You have in-depth experience working with database systems (relational, vector, graph databases) in complex AI applications.
• You have extensive knowledge of cloud-native development (Docker, Kubernetes), DevOps (Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub) and ideally have already held architectural responsibility.
• You are experienced in API design and full-stack software development and have implemented larger projects independently or in a leading role.
• You enjoy developing customer-centric, technically sophisticated applications and actively contribute your innovative skills to the projects.
• You are a communicative team player with a strong leadership sense, a structured work style, and a solution-oriented attitude.
• You have very good German and English skills (at least C1 level in both languages)
