Teraki is a Ber­lin based com­pany offer­ing soft­ware solu­tions for Inter­net of Things (IoT) sensor-data reduc­tion. Based on our core tech­no­logy, Teraki is offer­ing a unique way to just send only rel­ev­ant inform­a­tion from any sensor source, enabling to dra­mat­ic­ally speed up the pro­cess. These are require­ments for cur­rent state-of-the art auto­mot­ive applic­a­tions with soft­ware updates requir­ing the effi­cient low-latency hand­ling of AI mod­els.

Cur­rently we have a pos­i­tions for a Data Sci­ence intern. We are look­ing for an open-minded and pro­act­ive per­son to sup­port our data sci­ence team on the improve­ment of cur­rent schemes based on AI based auto­mat­ized learn­ing.

Work­ing field:

Neural net­works show state-of-art per­form­ance in many machine learn­ing tasks. In the con­text of edge ana­lyt­ics their use is however restric­ted by large com­pu­ta­tional power and memory require­ments. Vari­ous com­pres­sion meth­ods, such as quant­isa­tion and sparsi­fic­a­tion, allow to reduce the resource require­ments of the net­work. Devel­op­ment of such meth­ods is cru­cial for imple­ment­a­tion of neural net­works in the IoT and self-driv­ing cars applic­a­tions. This pro­ject involves devel­op­ment of novel com­pres­sion algorithms and test­ing them on avail­able auto­mot­ive industry data­sets.


  • Enrolled stu­dent liv­ing in Ber­lin or will­ing to relo­cate and being avail­able for 3 to 6 months of intern­ship, fur­ther 6 months for mas­ter thesis
  • Bach­elor/mas­ter degree prefer­ably in com­puter sci­ence, math­em­at­ics or phys­ics
  • You should have good pro­gram­ming skills in Python. Ideally you also have some exper­i­ence in Mat­lab and C
  • Hav­ing a strong interest in the latest devel­op­ments in AI and its role in the devel­op­ment of novel mobil­ity mod­els
