Who we are

We are an award winning, innovative wearable startup based in Zurich and Frankfurt. TRACKTICS enables every football player and team to track, analyse and improve performance on the football pitch. We have developed a wearable device and created an easily accessible but powerful app interface for our data analytics. For the first time, players and coaches have easy access to metrics like distance covered, number of sprints, and also tactical heatmaps. For better practice planning, player management and boosted motivation.

We got into European Space Agency’s Incubation Program and the highly selective EuropeanPioneers Accelerator. Well-known Business Angels from the football space are part of our team and we are delivering first products to excited football teams.

Who we are looking for

A passionate Data Scientist/Data Engineer who will help us to further develop our data analysis pipeline and work closely with our Back-End and Front-End developers towards new and exciting features for our platform. Tasks include early-stage feature exploration in collaboration with domain experts, integrating new features into our microservice based production environment, as well as improving existing processing algorithms.

Basic Qualifications:

  • BSc, MSc or PhD in a quantitative field like Computer Science, Physics, Engineering or Maths
  • Advanced experience in programming, preferentially in Python, JavaScript and C/C++
  • Excellent knowledge of the Unix command line and version control workflow using Git
  • Experience with handling, processing and visualizing large and diverse data sets
  • Good knowledge of data structures and relational and NoSQL database systems
  • Solid understanding of statistics and signal processing

Experience with one or more of the following technologies is considered a plus:

  • Deploying and running Dockerized data analysis workloads on Amazon Web Services
  • Experience with big data and machine learning frameworks (Apache Spark, TensorFlow, PyTorch)
  • Consuming and extending RESTful APIs and in particular node.js and TypeScript
  • Experience with multi-sensor fusion and localization problems
