  • University degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Business Administration or comparable; experienced practitioners also welcome
  • At least 2 years' working experience in the area of data engineering, data science or business intelligence
  • Complete data value chain knowledge: ingesting raw sources, writing data integrations, harmonizing them into a common ontology to create “golden” datasets, scheduling and monitoring builds, verifying data quality, creating dashboards and training machine learning models as well as operationalizing them
  • Very good understanding of data and big data management systems, creative sense for data and what can we do with it
  • Good working knowledge in Python, our main data wrangling language, as well as a good working experience with code versioning (git); experience with Spark, Scala, Java and/or JavaScript or other programming languages is of advantage; coding is key, we strongly believe in the “everything as code” concept.
  • Experience with Machine Learning is a big plus
  • Good understanding of cloud technologies and modern computing environments like Docker
  • Fluent English and German skills
  • Excellent and pragmatic problem-solving skills
