Dynamic Data-Driven Process Optimization 

Navigance, a young corporate start-up within Clariant, is seeking a Data Scientist (M/F/D) to help build high quality, scalable and resilient systems that power our analytics platform and data pipelines. We leverage diverse technology stacks, such as Spark, AirFlow and Hadoop to create value based on real-world industrial process data (Industrial IoT).

What will you be doing? You will…

  • work with time-series sensor data from real-world chemical processes
  • develop models for optimizing these processes
  • take part in scaling infrastructure for our industrial IoT products
  • interface with data engineers, product team and developers

What do we expect?

  • You are motivated to work in a quickly advancing company and want to help shape it
  • You hold a (master’s) degree in sciences, computational engineering, mathematics, statistics, chemical engineering or a related field and have a proven track record in a similar role
  • You have a good understanding of statistical and machine-learning methods
  • You have experience working with time-series sensor data
  • You master common toolkits like Pandas, Keras / TensorFlow or Scikit-learn
  • You have knowledge in integrating machine learning solutions into production environments
  • You are fluent in English

It would be an added bonus if you

  • have experience with chemical processes
  • speak further languages, especially German
