YOUR ROLE

  • Data Engineer uses programming and analytical skills to collect and transform large data sets during development of data-driven solutions to difficult business challenges
  • Solving big data challenges using extensive experience, applying algorithms and programming languages
  • Establish robust and performant pipelines using Python and Apache Spark within the Azure environment using Azure Databricks
  • Implementing quality checks on incoming data and performing quality assurance tests on the datasets and code
  • Working with Data Scientists and Business Analysts
  • Understanding business requirements in terms of data transformation in a qualitatively diverse data environment
  • Consulting business on best practices and technical effort required, in relation to product development and project achievements

YOUR SKILLS

    • Master's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Math, Statistics or Economics
    • Experience with building interfaces to systems in order to extract data (SAP, Oracle, SQL, web APIs from Google, Facebook, etc.)
    • Range of technical competencies including programming languages, DBs, BI, analytical tools, and ML technologies
    • Fluent in structured and unstructured data, its management and modern data transformation methodologies with focus on Cloud architecture (Python, Apache Spark)
    • Experience with Agile / SCRUM and CI / CD tools (like JIRA or Azure DevOps)
    • Understanding of business terminology, from areas like finance, supply chain, or sales & marketing in SAP backed multinational FMCG or industrial corporation
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Beneficial: Azure data stack (Azure Data Lake, Databricks, Data Factory, etc.), Scala, JavaScript, Dremio, PowerBI
    • Fluent English language skills
    • Drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques
