aifora is the merchandise automation platform that leverages AI based on shared data. Our products solve highly complex pricing and inventory issues to create a superior shopping experience for customers and retailers. We grew over 300% last year, our clients already include major retailers like NKD, Adler and Peek & Cloppenburg. We are VC backed and raised a €3m. Seed round from Capnamic Ventures in 2019.


  • A degree in a relevant field is always good, but we also value practical experience if you’re making a career change, self-taught or a natural talent
  • Several years of experience in the development of applications in at least one important programming language for backend components (e.g. Java, Scala) and relevant front-end technologies (e.g. HTML, CSS, Java-Script)
  • Several years of experience with stacks based on AWS or GCP, Java / Scala / MySQL, Python / R. Our deployments are on Kubernetes managed by Rancher 2.x
  • Experience with Microservice Architectures and Message Queue Systems like Kafka
  • Working with cross-functional and cross-geography teams
  • Demonstrated success in interacting and providing technical capabilities to several clients
  • Experienced in Project Planning, Management & Implementation along with Root Cause Analysis and Quality Management
  • Experience to develop applications for retailers is a plus


  • You lead and develop the software development team and you bring your coding skills hands-on to the table
  • You design, implement and manage our tech architecture that is capable of growing exponentially and to scale our business
  • Together with our developers, you provide a unique user experience on a multi-client analytics platform for the automation of merchandise processes
  • You bring yourself into interdisciplinary teams with agile project methods and facilitate the exchange of knowledge
  • You define the integration framework, patterns POC’s, roadmaps and strategies for an enterprise application
  • You help the team to integrate individual components and elements into complex and
  • automated tests as well as our CI/CD pipeline
  • You help us to define contracts between our microservices and to build interfaces to the latest
  • high-end technology and a Big Data architecture consisting of Spark, Hadoop, etc…
