Your tasks

  • Model and build data solutions to support ROOBEO's growing business
  • Design, implement and extend an enterprise data warehouse that will support our company's commitment to analytics and a data-driven business philosophy
  • Develop and maintain ETL processing pipelines for batch and near-real-time data as well as analytical / machine learning workflows
  • Extract data from various transactional databases, third-party tools and APIs
  • Proactively make suggestions on how the team can leverage new technologies and architectures to improve the performance of our data platform
  • Contribute to meet-ups, presentations, documentation and other knowledge-sharing platforms to promote best practices and tech stack recommendations

Your profil

  • You finished your study in a quantitative subject, e.g. computer science, physics, mathematics, economics, engineering or already gained a lot of experience in this field
  • You have good knowledge of SQL and RDBMS concepts
  • You have experience with column-oriented databases and optimization techniques thereof (preferably AWS Redshift)
  • You have experience with distributed job schedulers
  • You have good knowledge of an object-oriented language (preferably Python or Java)
  • You have good knowledge of Linux platforms and scripting capabilities (bash/zsh)
  • You have experience with cloud data architectures (preferably AWS)
  • You have creative problem solving abilities and an eye for detail
  • You have an independent and rigorous working style
