Job Description

At Skoove, we want to unlock the magic of making music for everyone who dreams of playing an instrument. With more than 1 million users today, we create interactive apps to learn piano. With our team of more than 20 certified music nuts, we combine music learning science, audio technology, and machine learning to build a unique company in the music tech space.

We are looking for an experienced Agile Project Manager who will drive our company of 20 music nuts to the next level of predictable delivery. The ideal candidate combines ‘soft’ communication and coaching qualities with ‘hard’ analytical skills and an eye for reducing complex dependencies. You have what it takes to join our band? Tasks

You work hand-in-hand with the CEO (= Product Owner) and CTO in ensuring regular, sustainable and speedy delivery of features by several of our product teams. The CEO is the user presentative and the CTO points out possibilities in the solution space and their interdependencies. Your role in this collaboration is to

  • elaborate and communicate realistic and motivating long- and short-term goals,
  • track progress towards the goals,
  • identify and eliminate/mitigate risks and blockers, and
  • maintain project metrics and drive the continuous improvement process, using an Agile methodology

This responsibility will typically extend over 3-4 internal project teams (e.g. iOS Frontend, Web, Data Science) and 1 external service provider. We currently use 2-week Scrum sprints and quarterly Roadmapping / OKR exercises

Requirements

  • Worked in a similar role in an agile software engineering team (Scrum / Kanban) for at least 2 years
  • Experience in relevant industry domain: B2C Apps & Websites, Learning, or Music
  • A track record of being accountable for shipping on time
  • A track record of driving measurable process improvement
  • Good communicator and facilitator
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Very good English language skills
  • You are holder of a German/European work permit

Nice to have

  • Experience in managing external suppliers
  • Familiar with automated testing methodologies
  • Hands-on experience with at least one Continuous Integration System and general automation tooling, e.g. Bash scripting
  • Hands-on experience with data analysis tools, e.g. Excel, Python, MixPanel
  • German is a plus
