Channel Marketing Associate, Germany
Maternity Cover -- 12 months

LifeScan was founded in 1981 to provide solutions for people with Diabetes, focusing on the design and manufacture of test strips and electronic meters for blood glucose testing. Following the launch of the Onetouch brand in 1987, LifeScan has expanded to over 90 countries, serving over 20 Million patients worldwide and is the market leader. The business employs around 2,400 people worldwide with hubs in Chesterbrook USA, Inverness UK and Zug Switzerland.

The Opportunity:
We have an excellent opportunity for Channel Marketing Associate based in Dusseldorf reporting to the Channel Marketing Lead, EMEA. Although your main focus will be Germany you will be a vital member of the EMEA team. This role is covering a maternity leave for 12 months initially, however, there may be a possibility of extending this further.

Job Focus:
In this role you will be responsible for development, approval and execution of marketing materials and programs for the Professional Channel towards:

o Pharmacists
o Patients
o Endocrinologists
o Diabetologists
o General Practitioners
o Diabetes Specialist Nurses

You will also be accountable for growth objectives for assigned products and managing spending within defined budget limits and you will also form a strong collaboration with Medical/Clinical, Professional Relations, Sales leaders, Sales training; Global marketing team and regional marketing teams to drive business growth and great, implementable initiatives.

Interfacing with global creative agencies to ensure effective development and readiness of materials for markets will be also be a big part to the role, together with coordinating all materials for pharmacies development, copy clearance and tracking of all materials and marketing programs for pharmacists.

Responsibilities will also include:
Product & Programs Management

  • Implement annual marketing plan with all the necessary action programs to achieve annual plan objectives in the assigned Country. This includes estimating market potentials, identifying market segments with promising growth opportunities.
  • Actively participate and support the creation development and execution of the Channel strategy, positioning, concept design, and executing plans.
  • Collaborate with business and customer insights in obtaining and analyzing competitive intelligence and market research data to identify customer needs, opportunities to win, segments and key positioning and product opportunities.
  • Ensures effective implementation of designated plans to achieve desired outcomes.

Processes & Knowledge

  • Part of the team fostering a creative, innovative, and results oriented environment with key functional areas (e.g. Learning & Development, and Sales), Country team, and Agency partners.
  • Manage third party relationships as required, coordinate implementation of pre-launch and launch programs for new product and services.
  • Support effective business partnering sessions and communications.
  • Ensure timely and appropriate systematic documentation of the products and services,
  • Manage multiple complex projects with competing deadlines.

Business Acumen

  • Participate in Regional competitive assessment and response team.
  • Curate and translate voice of customer, engage regularly with Country sales team.
  • Understand and leverage secondary data and primary market research to inform strategic and tactical decision making.
  • Monitor brand performance and competitive landscape to ensure points of differentiation are continually emphasized to maximize EBITDA and ROI.
  • Report on tactical performance through ROI modeling and agency partnership.

Requirements for this role include:
2+ years' experience of marketing/sales experience in a customer facing role teamed with demonstrated success with managing creative agencies to deliver stand out results.

It goes without saying, to be successful in this role, you need to be highly engaging with strong collaboration and a willingness to develop and/or support digital education platforms for customers and drive partnership in product delivery system.
