What you will do

The Quality Suppliers Engineer Li-Ion (m/f/d) is a Quality role that reports directly to the Quality Manager for Li-Ion plant. This role will be responsible for supporting and improving the quality relevant supplier activities in the European scope to ensure appropriate quality level of purchased goods in cooperation with purchasing and engineering. The role will be based in our Clarios EMEA headquarters office in Hanover, Germany.

Main Responsibilities:

  • You will conduct quality audits at suppliers, product validation/PPAPs and development of action plans as required
  • You establish supplier performance monitoring (best / worth 3) and follow up of the improvement process
  • You support supplier risk analysis and score cards, and report Key Process Figures regionally and globally
  • You support and Improve the Supplier Change Management Process
  • You maintain and support development procedures relevant for supplier relationship (Supplier Relationship)
  • You handle, manage claims and follow up of the 8D process in line with customer and Clarios expectation
  • You ensure application, maintenance and continuous improvement of BOS or according system
  • You maintain supporting document/Supplier Inspection Characteristics together with product engineering.
  • You participate in SDT Teams and support PLUS / 3D supplier launches
  • You supports new product launches, and implements supplier quality processes and programs
  • You support problem solving methodologies with the suppliers and resolves supplier quality issues
  • You participate on Continuous Improvement activities
  • You support the plants on the implementation and maintenance of JCMS TQ/Supplier Quality principles
  • You support external/internal Audits

How you will do it

As a Quality Suppliers Engineer Li-Ion (m/f/d) you have very good presentation, assertiveness and communication skills. Furthermore, you are experienced in driving force for resolution of top customer issues with a multinational organization. You demonstrate organizational agility and work effectively across different cultures and regions with coaching and training capabilities at all levels in the organization (i.e. operational, planning and strategic level).

What we look for

  • Bachelor’s Degree in industrial or mechanical engineering or state-certified technician in equivalent discipline
  • First experience in quality management in different levels of an organization in the automotive industry
  • Experience in manufacturing processes in the automotive sector
  • Good knowledge in the application of several problem solving tools such as: six sigma methodology, Kepner-Tregoe, Shainin, ishikawa and others
  • Knowledge about IMDS, automotive SPiCE and Functional Safety (ISO26262)
  • Good knowledge about MSA, Control Plan, SPC and 8D
  • Proficient in use of a computer and common office software (i.e. Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Fluent in English both written and verbal, good German skills preferred
  • Willingness to travel to support suppliers in Europe and worldwide (up to 50%)
