At Danfoss Drives we are currently looking for a Software Engineer (m/f/d) within our Software & Control Engineering team in Bruchsal, Germany. In this position you focus on the model-based design of software for motion applications.

Job Responsibilities
You will be responsible for the software development for motion applications for a set range of Danfoss frequency converters using model-based design in Matlab/Simulink. You will design software models for motion applications used in different industries and fields of application and will develop selected specifications demanded by the market. You will work closely with Product Management and R&D located in Denmark to align on projects and requirements. Further you will ensure the documentation of designs and implementations.
In your team of developers and testers you will work with an agile approach and in a collaborative, self-organized environment taking responsibilities for your field of expertise.

Background & Skills

For this position you hold a university degree in electrical engineering or information technology. You have work experience in software development for electric drives and profound experience in Simulink-MBD. Additionally, we are looking for:

    • Knowledge in embedded software development
    • Basic knowledge of C++ and in control engineering
    • Experience using PLCs (ST programming)
    • Teamplayer with willingness to take responsibilities for own tasks
    • Communicative and high degree of self-motivation
    • Very good German and English language skills
