Job description

In your new role you will:

  • Architect, design development of PC applications for windows platform to provide desktop solution for iMOTION motor control software
  • Automation and development of test setups for internal testing of motor control firmware
  • Maintain and enhance existing PC software for iMOTION project
  • Conduct and participate in peer review of software designs, code and test specification
  • Perform the global team communication within the Business Lines and the cross-functional teams, e.g. marketing team, the program managers and field applications engineers
  • Participate to the application and system solution development
  • Perform embedded software/firmware development in the area of PC tool communication

You are best equipped for this task if you have:

  • A degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology or similar
  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience in Embedded Software development, preferably system understanding in the area of motor control firmware development
  • Solid experience in using:

o C / C++
o Scripting language Python
o XML handling (parsers, validation, schema, XPath, xslt)
o C#/.NET

  • Experience of ARM CortexM architecture and toolchain
  • Knowledge in IEC61131 programming language, system test implementation and Matlab/Simulink are of advantage
  • Excellent communication skills in English and German
