We are seeking an experienced Data Scientist for our Advanced Data Analytics team. The team is a top-level expert team within the technology unit of the sonnen group. In close collaboration with sonnen’s functional units we develop new business and product relevant data analytics and services to serve our customer with smart solution and in-depth advanced business insights.

Your responsibilities

  • You mine and analyse data from sonnen’s company databases to drive optimization and improvement of product development, marketing techniques and business strategies.

  • You build and implement solutions that enable operational units to improve quality and speed of core processes in order to generate incremental revenue, reduce expense and risk.

  • You proactively run analysis and evaluate “proof of concepts” to unlock new advanced data analytic insights, which can be developed into future customer product & service offerings.

  • You closely collaborate with data architects and engineers within the team, across other technology teams and with business analysts from functional teams across all project phases: ideation, design, development product deployment and sustaining.

Your qualification

  • You have 2+ years of industry or academic experiences in data science / machine learning with a track record identifying and developing new smart data services and products to optimize processes, products and enhance customer engagement and relationship.
  • You have preferable a Master’s/Diploma in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Physics or another quantitative field.
  • You have a in-depth knowledge of a variety of analytics, machine learning techniques (clustering, decision tree learning, random forest, artificial neural networks, etc.) and statistics (regression, properties of distributions, statistical tests and proper usage, etc.), and their real-world advantages/drawbacks.
  • You are fluent in using statistical computer languages (Python, R, SQL, etc.) to querying databases, manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets.
  • You have experiences in working with analytics through the modeling lifecycle including gathering data, design, recommendations, testing, implementation, communication, and revisions.
  • You like to take responsibility an be solution oriented.
  • You like to work as part of a strong team and collaborate cross functional with business analyst and stakeholders from other units
  • You have an open and solution-oriented communication style in English and ideally in German.
  • You like to thrive in a dynamic environment and successfully deliver on multiple assignments.
  • You have a drive to make a difference.
  • You’re interested in renewable energy.
