In the Coatings Division, we are focused on the development, production and marketing of a variety of coating solutions - from applied surface technologies to automotive paints. Working in global teams, we promote innovation, design and new applications in order to meet our partners' needs. The 'Innovation Beyond Paint' program rounds off our portfolio. It is aimed at the development of new markets and business models.
RESPONSIBILITIES
We require an energetic individual for a 3 months internship. Our department Development E-Coat & Simulation/Automation is the European OEM development unit of BASF Coatings and is responsible for the field of cathodic dip coating (CDP) and fundamental digitalization.
- Within our team you will support us in the context of database development (logic/structure/implementation).
- Furthermore, you will script state-of-the-art web-based applications for internal customers.
- You will finally implement database solution by connecting to the enterprise Data Lake, to foster efficient CDP recipe calculations and consequential fundamental learnings.
QUALIFICATIONS
- master student with a focus in IT, data or computer science
- broad knowledge of the current computational development tools, frameworks and methods on different platforms such as desktop, web or mobile (frontend and backend)
- knowledge of relational databases, SQL, database development and data modeling
- joy to work in a team and effective communication in English
- structured and independent way of working
- interested in working from home, but presence is necessary as well
