About the position

Are you (almost) finished with your Master's degree and want to pursue a PhD? Do you want to bridge the gap between academics and industry and apply your scientific expertise to real challenges in the area auf automated and autonomous driving?

We are looking for talented young academics that are enthusiastic about high quality automotive data analysis.

We are offering the opportunity to conduct research in the following topics:

• Realtime ML based data relevancy evaluation

  • Apply Data Mining on our rich automotive datasets

  • Integrate your solution for online use in our recording vehicles

• Machine Learning based smart route planning

  • Apply Reinforcement Learning to optimize recording data value

  • Predict routes that are likely to contain interesting scenes and scenarios

What should you bring along?

• Masters degree in Informatics, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, or similar qualification

• Solid understanding of Statistics

• Strong proficiency in Python and a sense for clean code

• Experience with Machine Learning frameworks (i.e. TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn)

• Basic understanding of Deep Learning and / or Reinforcement Learning

• Good analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently

• Good communication skills
