GNSS R&D Software Engineer

Trimble TerraSat is recruiting for a GNSS R&D Software Engineer (m/f/d)

You will join the Trimble TerraSat development team in Höhenkirchen near Munich, Germany. TerraSat is Trimble's center of excellence for GNSS precise positioning. You will be responsible for developing new and enhancing existing software solutions for RTX positioning. Success in this position involves working effectively in the development team with other experts, and demonstrating a set of fundamental software engineering skills that result in predictability in
engineering, scheduling and the quality of products developed.

Key Responsibilities are:

• Research and development towards a robust and reliable positioning solution using Trimble RTX correction streams.
• Working in an international team and cooperating with people accross the world.
• Creating market leading positioning engines with RTX using GNSS but also in combination with non-GNSS sensors.

Other Responsibilites:

• Writing, editing, and revising detailed technical design documents to accurately describe the technical details of the components to be developed.
• Explain and document major design decisions and their rationales to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Being able to work effectively as part of a development team with minimal supervision; and all other software development tasks as assigned.

Skills & Experience Required:

• Excellent English language proficiency
• Excellent experience in Matlab and C++
• Experience in PPP Precise Point Positioning
• University degree (Msc or PhD) with focus on GNSS positioning and Kalman Filtering
• Good interpersonal skills
• Readiness for cross-team collaboration with other Trimble software engineering teams and partner teams
• Ability to adapt well to changing priorities in a fast-paced development environment
• 2+ years experience in GNSS Positioning solutions in the industry or at the university
