Job Description

About Fraugster:
Fraugster is a payment security company with the goal of eliminating fraud and increasing our customers’ profits. Over the last years we’ve invented an artificial intelligence technology that combines human-like accuracy with machine scalability. This ability lets us foresee fraudulent attacks before they actually happen and gives us a distinct competitive advantage over every other player in the payment security space.

We’re already working with some of the most well-known payment and e-commerce companies in the world. Notable clients include companies like Ingenico, SIX Payments and others. Fraugster is backed by top tier investors and is currently managing billions of Euros for our clients.

Job Description:
We are looking for a developer experienced with python or go and willing to master both, to join a new cross-functional team. The Datacore Team builds machine learning and data products for internal users. One of our current projects is migrating all teams’ data-related processes and tools away from Postgres to use our presto/parquet based datalake. If you’re an experienced professional who enjoys challenging themself, join us!

Requirements:

  • Solid experience in python or golang
  • Experience with Airflow / Presto and or similar ETL related tools a big plus
  • Exposure to containerized environments such as kubernetes
  • Working knowledge of PostgreSQL or similar
  • Interest in building data driven frontend tools for internal users

Current and prospective projects we're working on:

  • A S3 based datalake queried using Apache Presto (currently at MVP stage, we wrote our own parquet library in Go).
  • Converting experimental Machine Learning projects to production grade code
  • Scaling a kubernetes & kafka based batch processing system for simulating the analytical performance of our models & classifiers (we want to push past 10,000's txn/s so we can re-score all of our transactions nightly).
  • Building the infrastructure and new apps for the end-to-end training- >validation- >deploy cycles (think CI/CD for machine learning).
  • Performance analysis and optimization of analytical models.

What we offer:

  • The chance to join a growing team of industry experts with plenty of room to leave your mark
  • The opportunity to strongly impact company strategy and growth
  • Fun, creative and focused teams committed to learning and problem solving through collaboration
  • Family friendly, flexible home office policy and working hours
  • Time every week to hack on projects of your choosing
  • Educational budget for online courses or purchasing other materials
  • Free gym in the office building
  • Daily fruit baskets, drinks, and snacks
  • Competitive salary plus equity
  • Currently we are all working remotely but after the pandemic partial home office can be discussed with your team
