Job Description

Apple is looking for a self-driven intern engineer for the Camera Electronics Team in Munich to develop FGPA modules for a custom camera FPGA hardware. You will work closely with the camera team to develop and integrate elements of hardware that will be used for the evaluation of cameras for future Apple products. The Camera Hardware team develops groundbreaking camera solutions and technologies for Apple’s products, including the iPhone, iPad, MacBooks, and more. The key goal of the team is to enable the world’s best camera experience for our customers. Many of the capabilities of Apple’s products rely on Machine Vision & Machine Learning which are enabled by Apple’s outstanding approach to HW/SW co-design and optimization. The team features a collaborative and hands-on environment that fosters engineering perfection, creativity, and innovation.Key Qualifications

  • Experience in FPGA programming, test-benches and simulations
  • Software/scripting development experience C/C++/python
  • Hands-on experience with MCUs, peripherals and development environments
  • Familiar with standard electrical test equipment; oscilloscopes, lab supplies and function generators
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and proven teamwork and leadership skills.

DescriptionUnder the mentorship of local camera electronics engineers, you will analyze problem space to determine key requirements, evaluate solution space and propose a solution and execution plan. Implement FPGA solution in Verilog/VHDL, develop test-benches and simulations and test it on the hardware. Use standard electrical test equipment for board bringup, debug and verify that the design meets set requirements.Education & ExperienceBSc in Electrical Engineering, or CS/CE.
