Job Description

What you will do

As a Quality Engineer (m/f/d) you will be responsible for executing quality processes. You will conduct, align and coordinate Quality activities in the EMEA scope and ensure the definition of action plans. Furthermore, you will support the plants and areas with the proper and adequate implementation to ensure the quality level of products and processes in cooperation with Product Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations and other areas. The role will be based in our Clarios EMEA headquarters office in Hanover, Germany.

Main Responsibilities:

  • You will coordinate the Claim Management Process, from clarification of facts to the solution and closing of claims with the customers

  • You will balance and control quality KPI’s and resolve key significant process characteristics between manufacturing locations

  • You will support the waivers process and ensure robust plans for resolution, and reduce number of waivers

  • You will coordinate the alignment between locations with FMEA’s and all related key projects and initiatives

  • You will ensure proper data collection is done for reviews in the QOS (Quality Operations System) meetings

  • You will be responsible for collecting and reporting the quality KPIs (electrical battery performance data, OEM 0 Km PPM data, Product audit (QKZ) data, process lab data (LKZ), high rate tester PPM SLI, EFB, and AGM)

  • You will manage clear action plans with follow up, for indicators in the QOS report that are away from target

  • You will organize and support quality indicators from the sales leaders and ensure accurate aligned information

  • You will drive accurate problem solving data reported from the plants

  • You will ensure that ongoing corrective actions are in the loop with update in the FMEAs

  • You will prepare product quality certificates when required

  • You will involve and/or act as leader in special Quality project initiatives when required

  • You will conduct process audits to make sure all critical to quality requirements are covered up

What we look for

Required

  • University Degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing or a similar degree

  • First work experience in the manufacturing environment, preferably in the automotive industry and quality standards (IATF 16949, VDA 6.3)

  • First experiences in Quality Management

  • Strong knowledge in the AIAG Quality Core Tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA-Control Plans, SPC, MSA) and competent in using Statistical software/tools, e.g. Minitab

  • Good knowledge of SAP ERM is preferred

  • Very good MS Office skills

  • Willing to take the lead to drive issues using problem solving methodologies

  • Social competence in relationship to customers, suppliers and peers with cultural sensitivity

  • Hands-On Mentality

  • Excellent communications skills with the ability to read, write and communicate fluently in English, an additional language is a plus
