Job Description

In this role, you have the opportunity to

work cross functionally on the development of product design for Serviceability and Medical Device Integration of our next generation patient monitor systems and components.

You are responsible for

  • The product design for Serviceability and Medical Device Integration for patient monitor systems and components
  • Development and integration of Medical Device Integration Libraries and Applications in our next gen Patient Monitoring System based on the SDC standard
  • Analysis of Serviceability aspects of our Product Portfolio together with the Architecture team and definition of a data model for such

You are a part of

a team of global Software and Product development teams, responsible for the Premium Line Patient Monitors.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related engineering field
  • 5+ years’ software development experience
  • Experience with product development and proficiency with programming languages C++, C# and Python
  • Communication protocol knowledge such as TCP/UDP, WebServices, Web API (HTTP/HTTPS/REST/Websockets)
  • Team player with experience working as part of an international team
  • Excellent communication skills and willingness to share knowledge
  • Fluent English and German
  • Proven skills to deal with technical complexity and affinity to describe complex systems with structured methodologies
  • Experience with medical devices or the healthcare industry and sound knowledge of applicable standards like ISO14971, IEC62304, IEC62366, IEC60601 is a plus
  • Knowledge in medical device integration and applicable standards like IEEE 11073 service-oriented device connectivity, IHE HL7/FHIR is a plus
  • Understanding of modern serviceability models and processes is a plus
  • Experience with embedded Linux systems is a plus
