The department Future Training Solutions is searching for an software development responsible engineer of the Software Development and Integration Environment.
Ensures the provisioning of new software packages and upgrades.
Maintains the infrastructure in operational condition in line with OLA/SLAs.
Monitors and tracks system performance against negotiated service-level agreements (SLAs).
Communicates improvement, updates and obsolescence management of products to the responsible manager of the development environments.
Performs the ITIL based support processes that include incident, problem, change, configuration, and event management.
Analyses console messages, diagnoses system failures and takes corrective action in order to ensure continuity of operations, escalating to other technical teams and vendors as needed.
Supervises system backup processing, and leads disaster recovery tests Identifies and implements technologies and processes that improve the reliability, efficiency and availability of the systems environment
Contributes to continuous improvement of the development environment and its tools
Support patch management of operating system, drivers and application software w.r.t. to the development environment
Support data import and export for the development teams
Support the ITGA process
University Degree Computer Science or relevant course
Extensive professional experience in a comparable role
Software- and system engineering skills (e.g. C++, Scripting Languages, Runtime Infrastructure).
Experience in international military customer & industry environments advantageous.
Experience in training systems/simulators and/or aircraft systems.
Experience in the EF programme (e.g., aircraft, training) advantageous.
Fluent in English both written and spoken.
Flexible, with an ability to operate independently.
Ability to respond to rapid changes in daily activities and priorities and to invest effort as necessary.
Good communication and diplomacy skills with an ability to operate under pressure in a multicultural and multipartner environment.
